Our bulky waste containers

Bulky garbage is bulky household waste and often occurs during major cleanups and moves. This waste is often large and heavy and does not easily fit into a garbage bag. Old furniture, bicycles, curtains and plastics are examples of bulky waste. Construction and demolition waste is also allowed in the bulky waste container. Should you have a lot of stony materials then a rubble container is a better solution.

What waste streams are allowed in a bulky waste container? Household goods, garden furniture, awnings, bicycles, scooters, go-karts, ferrous & non-ferrous metals, masonry rubble, concrete rubble, plastics, foils, paper & cardboard, A- & B-grade wood, leftover building materials, insulation materials, carpeting, curtains, glass, windows, plaster and aerated concrete.

How can I rent out a bulky waste dumpster?

You rent out a bulky waste container from Puincontainershop.nl in just three quick and easy steps:

What is bulky waste?

Bulky garbage is bulky household waste that is too big for a garbage bag or your own residual waste container. In fact, almost all waste that is released during a move can be thrown away in this container. Examples include your old furniture, bicycles, carpets but also, for example, kitchen countertops, foil and plastic. Do check in advance that others cannot profit from your belongings. Are the items still good and usable? Then take them to a thrift store, you will probably make someone else happy. Did you know that in addition to bulky waste, you can also dispose of construction and demolition waste in a bulky waste container? Wood, concrete and glass, for example, are all allowed in this container. This saves you a lot of time and work!

Give your bulky waste a second chance!

Bulky waste often originates from homes or offices. It can be anything broken, old or no longer used. Do you have items you no longer use, but that are still intact and could have a second life? Then take these down to the thrift store or donate to other people who may benefit from them. It is important to avoid waste in the first place. If your belongings are no longer usable and have to go in the garbage, separate out the waste at source in a bulky waste container.

Why do I have to separate bulky waste from other waste?

Separating waste is good for the environment. Separating waste out into different types helps companies recycle it. So saving valuable raw materials. The purer the sorted type of waste is, the easier it can be recycled. When we don't bother separating out waste, a good proportion ends up in general waste. General waste is an expensive waste stream, as it is so bad for the environment. General waste cannot be reused or recycled, but is burned in large incinerators. This gives off CO2 and that is bad for the environment. Hence why it is a good idea to sort your waste using a bulky waste container.

How is waste from your bulky waste container processed?

We have our own waste hub in Diemen where we sort bulky waste. When bulky waste is dropped off at Diemen, it is processed in several steps and prepared for recycling. First of all, we sort the various different materials using a sorting grab. The different types of waste are separated out into dedicated waste bins. Once sufficient waste of one type has been collected, it is all taken away to a specific processing plant in one journey. Here the waste stream is recycled into new products or raw materials. Together we're contributing to a more sustainable world. Curious about our waste hub? Then visit the website Recycling Diemen.
